Pedestrian Poem

Has yet the world seen the days of prosperity?

The days of obscurity and nights of luminosity,

In which a brave new world yet to be discovered and enshrined,

With deterred imagination that once saw glory,

And now,

Bloodless from indoctrination.

Its lavish – eroded into rigid metallic crusts,

Along with its lively youthful beauty.

The values of moral regime has crumbled,

Now its place taken by eternal uniformity,

Yet we see not what is in front that is wrong,

Nor do the mass consider its forerunners for inspiration.

The world itself, blind from its arrogance of power,

Relies not on character and soul,

But on dogma.

It has lost the grasp of individuality,

But a select few will desire for change,

Will fight to find truth,

Will fight to attain perpetual happiness,

Will fight to value history,

And only those unique few can walk the solo walk of the bright night,

And only those extraordinary few can find their way along the lonely lit path,

And only those few can write on what is here.
